April 30th and 1st May 2005

Balli Park

Briscoe King Pavilion

Corpus Christi Texas.

( Near Bob Hall Pier )

The tournament was won by Fred Lynch from Flour Bluff Corpus Christi. The weather was not ideal with a front coming through just as the tournament was about to start which put off the faint hearted but Fred was not to be put off. He arrived at about 11am, asked what the rules were and said he would go and catch a Red and he did.  Wading the flats he found a school of them which produced the winning fish that was worth $1000.00. Fred used a rubber worm as the lure, he had to hunt for one as he normally uses fly gear. Fred is a guide and for those who would like to book a trip he can be contact on 361-533-4227. The sponsors of the event was Tecate Beer who I would like to thank for there support. The event used digital camera to record the fish against a pre numbered ruler which allowed for catch and release if required. The event organizers The Seashore Market place and   Shore Fishing and Casting Club would like to thank Tecate Beer for supporting this event. Fred did an amazing job catching eight Reds in this event on the first day. Regards Nickaway
